About the role
As a System Architect within Electromobility at Volvo AB, you will be responsible for developing and implementing functional solutions on a high level for our electric vehicle systems. You will work closely with our engineering teams to design and test software systems that enable the functionality of our electric vehicles.
Key responsibilities in this position:
- Develop and implement functional software solutions on a high level for electric vehicle systems together with the team
- Work in a cross functional team, close together with systems teams to ensure software and system requirements are state of the art
- Collaborate closely to ensure that the software systems for electric vehicle functionality meets the high requirement from our end customer
- Work with internal and external requirements and ensure deliverables meet expectations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electric vehicle technology
Requirements:
- Masters degree in, Electrical Engineering, mechatronic or related field
- Around 10 years of experience in software functional development, in the automotive or electromobility industry
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understand automotive system and customer expectations of electrical vehicles
- Knowing tools and development methods common in the industry
- Familiarity and experience with Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Experience from working in an international team
- Programming skills in one or more programming languages such as C or Python (is a plus)
