Who we are


Within the Application Management Outsourcing Service Line we have dedicated teams who are responsible for the delivery of technical support (2nd & 3rd level) for the leading German automotive producers. The delivery of technical support activities is performed according to the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) standards and procedures.
As IT Operations Manager you will to take overall responsibility for all of the IT Operations Management activities. You will ensure that all day-to-day operational activities are carried out within the SLAs and KPI targets.
As Operations Manager you will also carry the disciplinary and economic responsibility for your team. Part of your task spectrum is to further develop the skills your team members. You will need to regularly analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the team members and create improvement plans to remedy weaknesses and build strengths.

What you'll be doing


  • Responsible for the compliance with the agreed SLAs in the area of responsibility as well as the execution of contractually agreed activities / obligations (e.g.: release policies)
  • Responsible for compliance with all agreed ITSM processes in the area of responsibility
  • Monitors and controls the execution of tasks with the customer operationally and according to the given guidelines
  • Management of team leads and technical leads
  • Monitors and approves deployment planning by team leads and technical leads
  • Interface & escalations with the customer (customer level: cluster manager / product manager / application manager)
  • Supports the tech leads in case of major incidents and task forces
  • Participates in external and internal committees according to governance model
  • Management of shoring requirements and initial approval of resource selection of team leads and technical leads
  • Responsible for the adoption of additional applications in in the area of responsibility
  • Pro-active identification of trends (trend analyses) and derivation of measures
  • Supports in the implementation of strategic topics

What you'll bring along


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field would be preferable
  • Minimum 1-3 years of management experience/ leading within the Application Management Services field
  • An ITIL Certification is mandatory for the role
  • Customer Orientation and Relationship Management skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Assertiveness, business orientation, analytical thinking
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German
